Students are the soul of every university. At UPWr you will have the opportunity to become a member of a student research association, to take advantage of our sport facilities, or even train with the university’s sports association in one of 17 disciplines they offer. UPWr also fosters artistic groups which pride themselves on local and international achievements and tours around the globe: the University Folk Dance and Song Group ‘Jedliniok’ and the University Choir. Apart from activities offered by the university, the city of Wrocław is a great place to be for every student: multicultural, open to new ideas and challenges, famous for its hospitality. Excellent quality of life in Wroclaw is reflected in its cultural and entertainment offer - over two hundred restaurants, bars and clubs set in and around a stunningly-renovated Market Square, plus a full calendar of cultural events and festivals to keep every cosmopolitan resident happy. Thanks to all this, Wroclaw was chosen the European Capital of Culture in 2016 and won the competition for the European Best Destination in 2018.
